”What’s their trick?”

That’s what we always ask ourselves when we receive pictures of your handsome pets! We never get tired of their little faces and, if we could, we would adopt them all! Of course, we can’t, so we just go ahead and make the best food in the world. As we like to say at Oven-Baked Tradition, when you truly are passionate about something, you need to go all out for it!

In fact, if we proclaim loud and clear our love for dogs and cats, it’s because we love them at every stage of their lives. Since the creation of our company in 2006, we have been making recipes adapted to the nutritional needs of your faithful companion. After all, we’re convinced that your pet needs to adopt a healthy lifestyle from the very beginning of its life. That’s why we’ve designed a diet that specifically meets the needs of your new baby. But keep in mind that your kitten doesn’t have the same nutritional needs as a puppy. The same goes for the other way around. So we’ve concocted chicken-based recipes that are specific to each species. See how we’re made to get along!

But why use chicken?

Because it’s a high-protein meat. It’s a real energy reserve for your little hairball that’s always on the lookout for new and delicious experiences!

And how many times a day does a baby cat or dog needs to eat? For your puppy: His daily ration should be divided into 3 meals that you will give him at fixed times and in a quiet place in the house. Your puppy should eat his meal in 15 to 20 minutes maximum. If he doesn’t eat his food within this time, you should remove his bowl. Discover our puppy chicken food.

For your kitten: His daily diet should be divided into several small meals that you will leave for him to eat in self-service throughout the day. But watch out for gourmand eaters : if your kitten devours his bowl, funny food trays will allow you to spread out the meals and keep him occupied for a while.

Finally, you need to weigh your little one regularly to see if she or he is eating properly. That way, you’ll be able to more effectively regulate the portions of food eaten every day. The recommended portions on our food bags are for guidance only; they are by no means an absolute must that you should stick to.

Tricks of the day

When your baby is ready to eat solid foods, we recommend that you generously moisten a small portion of our kibbles with water; it makes the transition easier!

If your pet comes from a farm where we don’t use Oven-Baked Tradition kibbles, we advise that for the first two weeks, you mix this food with our kibbles in order to spare his stomach. Afterwards, you can gradually increase the amount of kibbles by reducing the rations of your pet’s former food.
